Taiwan came to me....

...in the form of 大辣凉面, XXL 大鸡排, 杏仁茶 and Mister Donuts! hehehe. Our maid was so nice to specially go to Shilin to buy the food and pack them nicely in tupperware and fly them back to Singapore for us poor souls who couldn't make it to Taiwan with them this time round. We all huddled in the corner of Centrepoint Macs and displayed all the goodies on the table (while a couple of them bought Macs to eat for dinner, leaving the goodies for us). Service was exquisite. The XXL 大鸡排 came reheated and lovingly wrapped in newspaper to keep in the heat. The 凉面 was chilled, with the sauce separately packed to preserve freshness. And the donuts remained intact in the kawaii Bart Simpson box. We all tucked in heartily....

Don't see the packaging so lok kok hor, when I ate the 凉面 and 鸡排, the memories of Taipei came flooding back....I can almost imagine myself sitting at the 凉面stall at Shilin, sharing the crazily spicy noodles with my Taipei gang while trying to douse the fire of our flaming mouths with the hot coffee from the cafe behind the stall. Those were the days......

Haha dun see the packing so lok hor....内有乾坤 ok? =p

The 凉面 without the 大辣 sauce. The noodles were still QQ after one night and taking the plane leh!

The yummilicious XXL 大鸡排, eat le got such a 幸福的感觉! Hahaha!

Our dessert - Mister Donut : Green tea mini donuts (left), Aloe vera and lemon donuts (right). Very interesting flavours and very chewy texture - nice!

The food disappeared in a flash, leaving us wishing for more more more... I was having flashbacks about my 红油抄手, duck popiah, smelly beancurd with sour veg and lots lots lots moreeeeeeeee.....faint.

While digesting our food, we also hooked on to the free wifi at Macs to tune in on the debut airplay of his new song on Taiwan's radio station HitFM. Alas, when they finally played it, the place was too noisy, we all had to stick our ears against the laptop to try and catch it. I think it was quite a sight to behold , 4 heads aiming at the laptop....iya, should have taken a pic hahaha!

Anyways, thanks friends for all the food, the gifts and the hoegaarden (hic!). =)
